Cyber Garage Sale: Recap

I want to extend a seriously
BIG
thank you
to everyone who sold, purchased or helped with the garage sale.

It all turned out better then I originally thought and I am happy with the results.
I made a little money, met some new bloggers and cleared out a small section of my ginormous closet. (Al will be especially happy with that last fact!)
It's definitely something that I would consider doing again next year.

What do ya'll think about that?

It's a great trendy bag in a black and white print.
Great condition - hardly used.

Slightly worn, but clean and quality lining.
Price = $3

Light brown leather handle bag from Nine West
{second photo provided for size}
Good quality, slightly used.
Price = $8

Kelly Green knit scarf from Old Navy

Wool newsboy hat

I just never felt like it "fit" me the right way, so I rarely wore it.

Cyber Garage Sale Kick Off!

Welcome to the Cyber Garage Sale Kick-off!

For my stuff, I will post a handful of items each day, with necessary information and prices.
This will work on a first-come-first-serve basis, so if you see something you want simply leave a comment or email me at melcandersen@gmail.com.
Once an item is sold, I will indicate such as soon as possible so that people will know.
Shipping will be $3.95 unless otherwise indicated.
I will accept Paypal or Cash.

Today's Items:
{Outerwear}

Denim Jacket
Color: Medium Wash
Size: Juniors Large
Fit: If you are taller, it will fit more like a cropped jacket.
If you are shorter, it will hit just right.
This jacket is lightly worn, because it never felt like it fit quite right.
Price = $8.00

Steve & Barry's corduroy button-down
Nice, thick shirt, almost jacket-like in weight
Color: Cream
Size: Large
Fit: Narrow at waist, hits below the pant line
Price = $3.00

As far as others who would like to sell something, you can run yours however you would like. It will be your responsibility to work out the details, payment and delivery and you are free to sell as much or as little as you would like.
I encourage everyone to use this as an opportunity to sell items that have been laying around and purchase some great new-to-you items for your closet or home.
This can be as fun as you want it to be!

If you would like to sell something, link up using the Linky List below and include the above button in your post so that everyone can return back here and visit all the great sales around the blog-o-sphere.

My personal plug is going to be for everyone to check out Gambizzle Jewels on Facebook and her auction for Kevin who needs a kidney. It's a great way to spend some money, get some cool items and do it all for a good cause.
Sure, it's not a garage sale, per se, but it's a million times better!

So, go and shop!

Cyber Garage Sale

Hey folks!

We are going to move forward with the Cyber-Garage-Sale.
The dates are going to be April 11 - April 24.

That gives everyone the weekend to search for their stuff, take photos and set up some posts.
As far as prices, items and details - I am leaving that open.
You can post a few items each day or just one long post.
You can sell only one great item or 50.
You can have people pay through Paypal or through any method you choose.
That does mean that you will be responsible for getting paid legitimately and making sure you get the items to the purchaser.

Thanks to the wonderful LaDonna at iFROG for the button!
So advertise the event, use the button for your posts and then come back and link up to my launch post (on Monday.) That way, everyone can hop around to the various sales.

E-mail me if you have any questions. Thanks for participating, I am SOO excited!

Cyber Garage Sale Follow Up

When I first made this suggestion in mid-March, I got enough positive feedback, that I thought I would move forward with the idea.

I am working out a Paypal account to help with payments and such and I am going to need some time to take photos, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks, we will launch a cyber-garage sale.

My thoughts are that I would simply provide a Linky List and people can link-up and sell whatever they want.
One item, 20 items, shoes, CD's, whatever!
I can leave it open for as long as people are interested.

If you are interested in selling OR buying, start advertising the sale on your blog so we can get others interested. And if anyone would like to help (say, with a stellar button or helping me figure out the Paypal thing) that would be greatly appreciated. And probably warrant 20% off any item at my sale!

Expect the launch in the next two weeks. In the meantime, start looking for items you can sell or things you'd like to add to your closets. This is going to be lots of fun!

Cyber Garage Sale

So, here's the deal...
I got rid of A LOT of stuff from my closet over the past few months, as you may recall.
Since then, the bags have been sitting in the entry way waiting for my sister and BFF to look through them. Every time I walk into my house, I am reminded that I really need to DO something with them.

Which gave me an idea...
Why don't I pass them along to my fellow blog-loves, by having a cyber-garage-sale?
Before I put together a post with the items and prices, I wanted to get your take on it.
I've seen people do similar things in the past, but I'm not sure how successful they've been.

Instead of just posting my own items, I thought I could make it a link-up and have a mil-spouse cyber-wide garage sale. If you've got clothes, shoes, accessories, or other nice things lying around that you want to get rid of, sell it online!

Would anyone be interested?
Should I just scrap the whole thing and donate the items?
Please let me know your thoughts and if you have any ideas!
